Welcome back to another travel Monday. Today I’m going to talk about a beautiful waterfall located in Canada. After our visit to Columbia Icefield, where I talked about last week we went to a couple waterfalls but the Athabasca Falls is definitely one you have to visit.
Athabasca Falls is a waterfall in Jasper National Park on the upper Athabasca River. It’s a very powerful waterfall. Athabasca Falls is not known so much for the height of the falls (23 metres), as it is known for its force due to the large quantity of water falling into the gorge. Because of that it’s very expressive to see. You can hear the water falling and it’s so unreal. I could watch it for waaaay to long, so calming. We also made a lot of pictures because it was so freaking beautiful. Not only the waterfalls but also the nature around it. So if you’re in Jasper National Park, I definitely would recommend it because it’s just the prettiest thing. Look at my Canada and America Road trip video on youtube to see the waterfall in action! From the beginning till about 25 sec from the video you can see the Athabasca waterfalls.
I hoped you liked this blogpost and see you next week when I’m talking about Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. Are you also following me on Pinterest? I’m recently very active and sharing a lot of pictures on it. You can follow me at @wendeliciously. See you next week wander babes!
